The israeli-brooklyn based forward thinking singer-songwriter and producer creates self empowering, ruminative and equality driven experimental alt-pop focused on the wonders and unknowns of life. Born in Israel playing her mother’s living room piano and raised by two strong female entities(Her mother, a known adolescence psychiatrist and her best friend a Witch and Neta’s mentor, Judith), she draws inspiration from the likes of her strange vivid dreams and clairvoyant seeings.
Those concepts were the building blocks for her debut EP “Dreams Vol.1”, who created a big buzz for the up and coming artist showcasing at magazines like NYLONand WONDERLAND. produced by TESHA and Noam Helfer. The album’s unique shadowy and floating sound was orchestrated by the use of multiple foreign objects, all carefully layered atop flowy instrumentals. TESHA’s voice draws the listener into her dream world, made up of light and shadows, spiritual visions, and the unknown.
Through releasing tracks “Summer Comes and Summer goes”, “Bathe in White” and “So Alive” TESHA secured performances at landmark venues such as the Baby’s all right (NYC), SoFar Sounds (Seattle), Brooklyn steel (NYC) and Kung Fu Necktie (PA). She has also made appearances at the prestigious Art Basel Miami, CMJ and SXSW Festivals in the US
After the loss of both parents, her purpose was ignited and music became a form of healing.
A year later, she moved to NYC piecing together hours of self-taught vocals and experimentation with synth production. Embracing the unknown, she transcribed the visuals delivered from her dreams. An intrinsically beautiful place where form, rawness, vulnerability and unconditional love runs free. While in this place, she learned to overcome many of life's obstacles. Walking forward, and coming back with treasures from dark recesses, sculpting the framework of her self-released debut LP, “Growing pain II” that came out on Feb 2019. TESHA was named by the 405 as “absorbing and slightly frightening, Tesha is definitively one to watch”
